The most convenient option is a direct flight from Nairobi to Zanzibar, with airlines like Kenya Airways and other regional carriers. Alternatively, you can fly to Dar es Salaam and take a short ferry or connecting flight to Zanzibar.
The official currency is the Tanzanian Shilling (TZS). However, US Dollars are widely accepted in hotels and tourist areas. Kenyan Shillings are not commonly used, so it’s advisable to carry USD or exchange to TZS upon arrival.
