Itineraries

Day 1

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

  • Morning:
    Depart Nairobi early morning (around 6:30 AM) via the scenic route through Nanyuki and Isiolo. Enjoy a short stopover at the equator point for photos and a refreshment break.

  • Afternoon:
    Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch. After check-in, take some time to relax and soak in the serenity of the northern frontier.

  • Evening:
    Head out for your first evening game drive — spot elephants, reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras and possibly lions or leopards as the sun sets over the rugged landscape.
    Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

    Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2

Full-Day Game Viewing in Samburu

  • Morning:
    After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River the lifeline of the reserve. Watch for Samburu’s unique species like Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and gerenuk.

  • Afternoon:
    Return for lunch and some leisure time at the lodge enjoy a dip in the pool or a quiet siesta.

  • Evening:
    Take a sunset game drive or an optional cultural visit to a Samburu village to learn about their traditions, beadwork and way of life.
    Return for dinner and overnight.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3

Departure

Samburu – Nairobi

  • Morning:
    Enjoy an early sunrise game drive to catch the wildlife in action one last time before breakfast.

  • Late Morning:
    Check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi with en-route stops for souvenirs and scenic photos.

  • Afternoon:
    Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon marking the end of a memorable Samburu Safari Retreat.
