The best time to visit Diani is during the dry seasons, typically from July to October and December to March. These months offer sunny weather and calm seas, ideal for beach activities, diving, and snorkeling.
You can fly from Nairobi to Ukunda Airport (UKA), which is just a few minutes from Diani. Alternatively, take a flight to Moi International Airport (MBA) in Mombasa and then drive or take a ferry to Diani (around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic).
Yes, Diani is generally safe for tourists. It has a well-developed tourism infrastructure and good security. As with any destination, it's best to take standard precautions, such as avoiding walking alone at night on isolated beaches.
