Itineraries

Day 1

Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park

  • Morning:
    Depart Nairobi early (around 6:00 AM) and drive through the scenic Mombasa Highway, with a short stop at Mtito Andei for refreshments.

  • Late Morning:
    Enter Tsavo East National Park, famous for its red-dust elephants and the legendary “Man-Eaters of Tsavo.” Enjoy a mid-morning game drive en route to your lodge/camp.

  • Afternoon:
    Check-in, have lunch, and relax as you soak up views of the wilderness.

  • Evening:
    Go on your first evening game drive, searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes and more against the backdrop of a glowing African sunset.
    Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2

Tsavo East – Tsavo West Exploration

  • Morning:
    Early breakfast followed by a morning game drive as you exit Tsavo East and cross over to Tsavo West National Park — a land of lava flows, rocky hills, and lush springs.

  • Afternoon:
    Visit the Mzima Springs, a natural oasis where hippos and crocodiles can be seen through an underwater viewing gallery.
    Have lunch at your lodge and relax by the pool or terrace.

  • Evening:
    Head for an evening game drive, spotting more wildlife and enjoying panoramic views of the Chyulu Hills.
    Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3

Tsavo West – Nairobi

  • Morning:
    Enjoy an early sunrise game drive to catch the park at its most active time, then return for breakfast.

  • Late Morning:
    Check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with drop-off at your preferred location — marking the end of your Tsavo Safari Retreat.

    Meals: Breakfast
